Do As I Say, Not As I Do!

From the website of the U.S Senate Committee on the Environment and Public Works, via The Drudge Report...

GORE REFUSES TO TAKE PERSONAL ENERGY ETHICS PLEDGE

WASHINGTON, DC – Former Vice President Al Gore refused to take a “Personal Energy Ethics Pledge” today to consume no more energy than the average American household. The pledge was presented to Gore by Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), Ranking Member of the Environment and Public Works Committee, during today’s global warming hearing.

Senator Inhofe showed Gore a film frame from “An Inconvenient Truth” where it asks viewers: “Are you ready to change the way you live?”

(Click Here for link to chart.)

Gore has been criticized for excessive home energy usage at his residence in Tennessee. His electricity usage is reportedly 20 times higher than the average American household.

Here is the "Personal Energy Ethics Pledge"...

As a believer:
· that human-caused global warming is a moral, ethical, and spiritual issue affecting our survival;

· that home energy use is a key component of overall energy use;

· that reducing my fossil fuel-based home energy usage will lead to lower greenhouse gas emissions; and

· that leaders on moral issues should lead by example;

I pledge to consume no more energy for use in my residence than the average American household by March 21, 2008.”

The last sentence from the article...

Gore refused to take the pledge.

And why SHOULD he?

After all, he is a Go-Zillionaire, and he has only the best interests of the Great-Unwashed at heart, right?

I mean, hasn't Gore EARNED his own right to pollute twenty times more than you by all of the good he has done, or intends to do for Humanity?

I mean, haven't he and his allies worked tirelessly to raise the Minimum Wage to a level that will support a family of four, while simultaneously attempting to limit the access of a family of four to a vehicle which will carry four people? (For the good of the Earth, don'tchaknow?)

I'm telling you all, right now.

BEWARE the Politician who claims to want to solve your problems, ESPECIALLY when that same Politician is pointing those very problems out to you.

BEWARE the Politician who refers to YOU as "Workers", or to you and your families as "Working Families", ESPECIALLY if neither that Politician nor her Husband has ever held a job on which they actually "Worked."

BEWARE the rulers who are unwilling to live under the same conditions as their "Subjects."

If you want anything done, DO IT YOURSELF.

Conserve, Reduce, Recycle. By all means. Live Responsibly. Think Locally, Act Globally.

Have at it. After all, it IS the responsible way to live.

But do it YOURSELF.

Whatever you DO, don't allow AlGore and HillBillary to mandate it through the power of Government.

Because if you do, you will have surrendered your personal freedom to live your life in the same way that AlGore believes that he is entitled to live his, in exchange for an empty promise to solve a problem which may not even exist.

UPDATE: This chart bears notice...

BEWARE!!

You are being LIED TO! (And not by me!)

The Wisdom Of Zell Miller...

From The Raw Story...

"Zell Miller: Abortion has shrunk our military, hurt social security, caused illegal immigration"

"Zell Miller, the former Democratic Senator from Georgia who backed President George W. Bush in 2004 and spoke at the Republican National Convention, recently told an anti-abortion gathering that the "killing" of unborn babies was the cause of many of America's woes, including its military, social security, and immigration problems.

"How could this great land of plenty produce too few people in the last 30 years?" Miller asked.

"Here is the brutal truth that no one dares to mention: We’re too few because too many of our babies have been killed."

Miller claimed that 45 million babies have been 'killed' since the Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade in 1973.

"If those 45 million children had lived, today they would be defending our country, they would be filling our jobs, they would be paying into Social Security," he asserted."

( I love that the article puts the word "killed" in quotations...)

This is the point that I made over a year ago which first got me called a Nazi on my comments page. (Except that I said that Abortion doesn't bother me because I recognize the fact that Liberals are aborting their Voter Base, and that I thought that Conservatives should get out of the way and let them do it until they are gone.)

You see, this is one of the most inflamatory things that you can ever say to a Neo-Lib.

"This is all YOUR fault!"

And while Neo-Libs are more than happy to share the blame with the collective, (i.e. "We are destroying the Environment" etc...) they know beyond a shadow of doubt that they alone own this particular issue, and they own it out loud and in your face.

So, in their world view, Abortion can never be hinted at as the cause of any problem whatsoever, but must always be held up as a solution to horrible and otherwise unsolvable problems. ("Just look at all the unwanted and unloved children who would starve and be abused to death in Orphanages and in the homes of single parents working seven jobs and collecting welfare just to squeak by in abject Poverty if it weren't for Abortion! Are YOOOUUUU going to adopt ten or twenty of them and look after them Mr. and Mrs. Conservative, Mr. and Mrs. Hypocrite, HUHHMMMMMNNNN?!?")

(The next time a Lib hits you with that one, extend their own logic and suggest that we should instead round up the children who are living in those conditions now and kill them since they would be better off dead anyway, and see what they call you...)

Zell Miller is exactly right.

But he stopped too soon...

He should have gone on to point out that many of those aborted children would have been of voting age in 2000, and that most of these voters would have been raised their whole lives by people who obviously support a woman's right to choose, i.e. Democrats.

How many more votes would it have taken in 2000 to defeat George W. Bush with a clear and unquestionable margin?

Not all that many.

So now do you see that without Abortion, there would probably never have been a President George W. Bush?

Now do you see how Liberalism is ultimately it's own punishment?

Pardon Me?

Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution gives the president "Power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment." A reprieve reduces the severity of a punishment without removing the guilt of the person reprieved. A pardon removes both punishment and guilt.

Bill Clinton pardoned 140 Criminals on his final day in office. Over the course of his Presidency, he issued 395 Presidential Pardons.

It is the Constitutional Right of the President of the United States to pardon anyone he wants, at any point during his Presidency, for any crime for which they might be convicted.

NO MATTER WHO WANTED THE DEFENDANT CONVICTED.

Yesterday, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the former Chief of Staff for the Vice President, was found guilty of being a Victim of a Gross Miscarriage of Justice.

On the Jury that convicted him was a person who has written a book entitled "Spying: A Secret History Of History." This Juror has stated that he took "copious notes", and plans to write a new book about the experience of being one of the Jurors on the Libby case.

Another Juror is quoted on the Drudge Report tonight calling for the President to Pardon Libby.

ONE OF THE JURORS WHO CONVICTED LIBBY IS CALLING FOR A PRESIDENTIAL PARDON.

I'm not saying that President Bush should Pardon "Scooter" Libby. That's up to him. If he wants to do it, then he should do it. If not, then don't.

What I AM saying is that if he wants to Pardon Libby, then that is his right, as President of the United States, granted to him by the U.S. Constitution, and bestowed upon him by the Majority of Voters in the 2004 Presidential Election, and that neither Harry Reid (How DARE he open his mouth over this!!), nor Katie Couric, nor Cindy Sheehan, nor Tim Russert, nor George Soros, nor Ariana Huffington and all of her readers and commentors, nor the whole of the Moveon.org crowd ALL OVER AMERICA have any right to tell him not to, nor should they have any input whatsoever in his decision one way or another.

It's up to him. He is the decider.

If Clinton had the right, on his last day in office, to sell pardons to anyone who promised to donate to his Library/Massage Parlor, then Bush has the right to pardon people who may be covering up his own criminal activity. (If indeed there is any of that.)

Personally, If I were President, I would Pardon Libby today.

Then I would fire Fitzgerald.

Then I would form a Special Council to look into Harry Ried's land deals. And William Jefferson's freezer. And Ted Kennedy's sanity. And John Kerry's Military Record. And Barak Obama's race. And Al Gore's Carbon Footprint. And Barbara Boxer's "Big Oil" investments.

And Hillary Clinton's own memory lapses during her grand Jury Testimony.

I would find out how many of THEM could stand up to the type of investigation that has been directed at the Bush Administration for years and years...

Hillary Clinton... The Gift That Keeps On Giving...

"Ah don' fee-yull naw-wayze tarrred... Aah commed too faaaaar frum wherr Aaaah-aah staaarted frum!...

"No-budddy tol' mee dat dah road wudd be eeeaz-eee!...

"Aaaah don' b'leeeeve He brought me this faaaar to leee-uhve me!..." - Said Senator Clinton.

Or, to put it more succinctly... "YEEAAAAAAHHRRR!!"

How stupid is Hillary Clinton?

Are any of you buying her act? Don't you all see what she is attempting to do? (And badly at that?)

Is this offensive to no one besides me?

And I am not even Black!!

This wouldn't have been any worse if she had given away free bar-b-qued ribs, fried chicken, and basketballs!

Who does she think she is?!?

Can you imagine the Media outcry if Newt Gingrich had done this?

Rush Limbaugh?

Ann Coulter?...

Oh, yeah, that's right...

Coulter is the decoy to which the Media hopes to direct your attention in case you start to almost notice the fact that Mrs. Clinton is mocking Black People.

Don't fall for it.

Ann Coulter has as much right to call John Edwards a "Faggot" as Howard Stern has to call George W. Bush a "Retard."

It should draw just as much attention.

And no more.

Both have happened recently, and neither are worthy of any attention beyond an initial chuckle.

Hillary Clinton thinks that by mocking Black People's speech patterns, she can convince them to forget that she is a rich white woman who thinks that they are all stupid, and that they will vote for her over a man of their own race.

Which they might. I don't know.

That's up to them.

But remember this...

If Hillary Clinton REALLY believed in Racial Diversity...

If she REALLY believed in the concept of promoting achievement among African-Americans... (whoever THEY are...)

If she REALLY, REALLY believed in Racial Equality and the ability of African-Americans to succeed at the highest levels of Society...

SHE WOULD WITHDRAW FROM THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE, AND STOP THIS ATTEMPT TO KEEP THE BLACK MAN DOWN!!!

But I don't think she will have to.

If she makes just one more speech as ridiculous as this one, she's had it politically.

And that is as it should be.

But I personally LOVED her speech in Selma!

Keep 'em comin' Hillary!

You GO Gurl!!

You dah BOMB!!

Aaa'ight?

Knowhutumsay'in'?

Yeah...

Perception Is Reality...

SHARES TUMBLE AROUND WORLD...

DOW DOWN 416...

WORST 1-DAY DROP SINCE 2001...

(All from the Drudge Report.)

(Along with THIS one...)

MAG: Did the Drudge Report Help Tank the Stock Market?

Well, did it?

The first paragraph from the article about the Drudge Report helping to tank the Stock Market says "Greenspan warns of likely U.S. recession." That was the headline right near the top of the widely surfed Drudge Report yesterday afternoon and this morning, referring to a speech that former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan made the other day via satellite to a business conference in Hong Kong. Many market watchers are blaming those comments– along with a weak durable goods report and the plunge in the Chinese stock market – for today's stock market sell-off."

Wait just a Cotton-Tailed minute...

Didn't Alan Greenspan retire last year?

What in the World gives him the power to come in off the Beach and crash the Stock Market whenever he feels like it?

You want an even better angle on the same story?

Here you go...

From the Tugboatcapn News Service...

Stock Market Experiences Worst One-Day Drop Since 2001 Only Two Months After Democrats Reclaim Congress...

How about this one?

Stock Market Crashes Following Al Gore's Oscar Win...

Or this headline...

Dow Down 416 Points Following News Of Democrats Opposition To Bush's Iraq Troop Surge Plan...

These things have nothing to do with the Stock Market Plunge, you say?

Oh, Yeah?

I have as much evidence that Al Gore, or the Democrats taking Congress, or their opposition to Bush's Iraq plans causing the Stock Market Crash as the Left has for Mankind's role in Global Warming...

Perception is Reality...

Conversion At The Point Of The Sword...

When New Blogger came for ELAshley, I remained silent; I was not ELAshley.

When they forced
Mark to convert, I remained silent; I was not Mark.

When they came for
D.Daddio, I did not speak out; I was not D.Daddio.

When they came for me, there was no one left to speak out.

This is just great.

I have been forced over to the dark side.

New Blogger has finally come for me.

And there is nothing that can be done. Resistance is futile.

I have been assimilated.

Please tell me, those of you who have already converted, because I don't know...

Is it better?

Worse?

About the same?

P.S. I promise that I will write a Political Post soon...

Right now, I just don't care...

Requiem For A Friend...

I've just returned home from a funeral for a man I did not know.

He was killed in an ATV accident this past Sunday. He was 30 years old.

He lived about 30 minutes from me, he was a truck driver, he loved video games, he built race cars and model cars, had a really nice Corvette, and was a really nice guy.

He and his wife were both close friends of my Wife's when they were all in High School, and now he is gone.

And I never met him.

Until today.

I have spent the afternoon making friends with his friends, listening to stories about him, the way he thought, the way he reacted to different situations, his attitudes, his beliefs, what was important and unimportant to him...

I would have liked him. A lot.

He was a good guy.

But now he is gone.

And I am sad that I never met him.

I am sad for his widow, alone after only seven years of marriage, wondering whether she should sell their house and move back in with her parents...

I am sad for his dogs, who will not understand why he will never come home to play with them again...

I am sad for his friends, who will never enjoy his company again, or benifit from his unique skillset, his knowledge, his point of view, his sense of humor...

And I am sad for myself, that I never had the opportunity to laugh with him, talk with him, help him with the projects that he was working on, and that I was not able to develop a relationship with him.

We would have been friends.

Rest in Peace, Donnie Bailey, my friend whom I never met.

You are missed.

The Last Action Hero...

Did you ever have one of those days when you just want to leave your husband and your children, put on adult diapers and race against a jet airplane 900 miles across the country so that you could kidnap and murder your boyfriend's girlfriend with a B.B. gun and a steel mallet?

Me neither.

Now, I will not indulge in the obvious P.M.S. or Menopause jokes, because that would get ME killed with a B.B. gun and a steel mallet. Besides, anyone who has dealt in close quarters with a woman in the throes of a P.M.S attack knows that this Astronaut situation is relatively mild by comparison...

Sorry. I said I wasn't going to do that.

The real tragedy here is the destruction of the perception of Astronauts as sort of "Super Human" Heroes. They are supposed to be the best and the brightest of all of the best and brightest. I'm no Rocket Scientist, but THEY ARE.

And now this one single nut has destroyed the last bastion of the real American Hero.

Over a man with whom she claims she wasn't even romantically involved. (Rrrriiiiight....)

The American Soldier as a Hero has been over with since about the Viet-Nam War. Everyone has known that the President, whoever he may be, is a lying, cheating power-mad scumbag, and has been ever since Nixon.

Terrell Owens has almost single-handedly transformed professional athletes from Heros into something more akin to Rodeo Clowns.

We lost Cowboys as Heroes last year... although we all sort of knew about Cowboys for a while. (Men walking around in leather chaps and shiny boots? Come on, now...)

And now, we learn that Astronauts are actually human beings, and are prone to random nuttiness as well.

And even Rocket Scientists do stupid, wierd things sometimes. (Probably more often than we know about.)

Which pretty much leaves Rap Artists as the example for all of us to look up to.

So, Yo. This is Tug, an' I'm Audi.

Peace out, yo.

Aaa'ight?

Yeah.

Cheater, Cheater, Odor Eater!!

"My computer can beat me at Chess... But it is no match for me at Kick-Boxing..." - Emo Phillips.

Tonight I made an amazing discovery...

My computer cheats at "Scrabble"!

Last weekend my brother-in-law and sister-in-law were over here to hang out with the Wife and me. My Wife and her brother were playing "Mario Smash Brothers Melee" on the Game Cube, and my sister-in-law was playing "Brain age" on her Nintendo DS Lite, so I was left with nothing to do.

I decided to go to "Yahoo Games" on the internet and see if there were any games there that I liked.

I found "Scrabble" and downloaded it.

And was immediately hooked.

I have played "Scrabble" against my computer for several hours every night this week.

I noticed that the computer would occasionally deny me a word that I knew was legitimate, but it didn't bother me until I tried to use the word "Jews" on a triple word score for 42 points.

The computer denied it.

Then I started to notice that the computer was using some really funky words like "xi" and "emmend".

Tonight it used the word "smews" for 27 points.

I used the Dictionary function and looked up the word, and it said that a "smew" is a Eurasian duck.

Okay... I remember this from when I was a kid playing this game. This is the opponent who sits on the Dictionary and challenges YOUR words, but makes up his own words and won't let YOU look anything up. (Because it's HIS Dictionary.)

Now, maybe a "doit" actually is an out-dated Dutch coin... but I cannot be sure of that. I either have to take the word of the computer, or go out and buy my own copy of Mirriam Webster's Official Collegiate Dictionary, and even that would not explain why the computer can use "noir", but I can't use "que".

And I don't have the same option, even if I had my own Dictionary. I can't put down "queijrx", and then tell the computer that it is a Turkish Cockroach or something. The computer either allows the word, or it doesn't. No argument whatsoever.

I can usually beat any human opponent at "Scrabble", but I can't stand a cheating computer, and I have caught mine red-handed.

Maybe next we'll see how well it does playing Dodge Ball.

On The Road Again!

Used Freightliner Century Class road tractor... $29,500.00.

210 gallons of highway diesel fuel... $524.00

Brand new hard hat... $6.24.

Actually being excited about getting out of bed at 3:30 in the morning to go to work... Priceless.

Some people say that the best things in life are free...

But that's hogwash, and you know that already.

The really good stuff costs you everything you have...

Everything you think you are.

So you have to decide.

What do you want?

How much does it cost?

Can you afford it?

Cleanliness Is Next To Godliness...

Boy, I stink.

I forgot to apply any deodorant last night when I took my shower, and then I forgot it again when I got up this morning.

My Wife was off work today, because the Schools were closed in order to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Struggle for the Abolition of Slavery in the 1400's, and she is the Dominatrix of the Television.

Now, my Wife loves Medical shows. Discovery Health, the Medical Channel, etc.

She will scan every channel until she finds a program where someone has something hanging out of their butt, and she will watch THAT.

As a matter of fact, if there was a channel called "The 'Stuff Hanging Out Of People's Butts' Channel", she would watch nothing else.

I hung in there until the program about the baby that was born with it's legs grown together went off, but by then, I had had enough.

I went outside, and worked in the Pole Barn.

I located, cleaned and organized my tools, played with the Lawn Mowers, and raked out all of the leaves, and then, I put everything back where it belongs..

It took all day.

So now, I have worked outside all day long in the sweltering January heat with no deodorant.

My Wife says she wants me to either take a shower before Dinner, or try to find the goat that seems to be hiding somewhere inside the house.

I think I'll take a shower.

And put on deodorant this time.

"24" is coming on soon, and who knows... Maybe Jack Bauer will have something hanging out of his butt...

Then we can both be happy!

Work Sucks, But So Does Retirement...

Still no work for me and my new (to me) truck.

This is starting to suck a little.

Today, I went out looking for a different Company to Lease to, but the three I talked to told me that they barely had enough work for the trucks that they already have.

Come back and see them on Tuesday.

When I decided to do this, I planned for a couple or three weeks of down-time, and I made sure that I had some operating Capital to cover the gap.

But I didn't count six or seven weeks without work.

I've about watched all the Harry Potter movies, History Channel, and Star Trek that I can stand.

I'm ready to go back to work.

I guess we'll see on Tuesday.

One bright spot is that my personal living expenses have dropped to nothing. I can't remember the last time I bought gasoline for my beloved Nissan Sentra, and I am only eating about $2.00 worth of food per day...

My Wife gave me a Twenty Dollar Bill on Monday of last week, and this morning I gave it back to her so that she could get gas for her new car.

I used to spend twenty Dollars per DAY when I was working.

I guess it isn't a catastrophe yet... I am expecting a check from my retirement account any day now, which should buy us another month or so, after which I should be working again and none of this should be a problem.

But I don't mind telling you that tonight, I am a little worried.

I believe without a doubt that God has worked to make it possible for me to own my own truck, and run my own business, because I could not have gotten the loan without his intervention.

But now, after over ten years debt free, I am over Sixty Thousand Dollars in the hole, and there is no work for the truck.

But I trust in God.

And because of that fact, I believe that He has good things in store for me, or else He would not have made it possible for me to undertake this... uhm... undertaking.

So, pray for me.

I guess it could be worse...

My brother's Appendix burst yesterday, so he went to the Hospital thinking he had a Virus, and by the time the sun went down, he had had surgery. He's okay now, (according to my Sister and my Mom,) but I can't even go and pick on him about it, because I don't have the money to go to N.C. right now.

I don't even have Health Insurance Coverage. (Scary!)

I have no doubt that soon I will go back to work, and I will soon be sick to death of working, and I will have to hire someone to help me spend all of the money I will be making.

But it ain't happening yet.

Not that I mean to cry on your shoulder...

None of this is YOUR problem, but this is what is on my mind tonight.

I really believe that it will all be okay, but pray for me anyway.

Or, if you need to hire a Tractor-trailer dump truck, let me know and I will E-mail you my contact information.

God works in mysterious and awesome ways!

Is This News?

It must be... all of it was on the Drudge Report today...

Whew... Boy, we didn't see that coming, did we?

Here ya'go...

(That reminds me... We are almost out of toilet paper...)

Okay... How do you like this one?

Well, it's about time! Those are some wierd animals right there!!

Sen. Johnson Upgraded to Fair Condition...
Well, That's certainly good news... I'm glad to know there is at least ONE fair Democrat up there...

I would seriously hate to be Matt Drudge...

He has to find something, anything to post as breaking news on his website every day, and some days there is nothing.

But he has to post it anyway, and make it all sound important.

All I have to do is comment on it, and it annoys me... And I don't even depend on it for my livelihood.

Not that I wish for mayhem, death and destruction...

All things considered, I guess I would much rather blog about nothing than to blog about the U.S. finally losing the War in Iraq because of the incompetence of the Democrats in Congress, or about the economy crashing because the Federal Government has decided to tax prosperity to the point that it is no longer worth it, or about a Hillary-Care style scheme to break the Federal Budget by making all of us pay for everyone else's Health Care...

But there will be time to blog about all of that stuff later. (When it happens.)

So, I guess a slow News day is a blessing.

Even if it is a little boring...

Oh, well...

Bored Beyond Belief...

I really have tried to stop Blogging completely.

I really have!

But I can't.

Since I last wrote a new post, I have quit my job, bought a brand new car, started my own business, and as far as anyone can tell, retired.

Well, not retired, exactly...

More like, found out why everyone is scared of buying their own truck and becoming an Owner-Operator.

I haven't worked since December 8th.

The company that I have leased to keeps telling me to hang in there, and that things will break loose in a day or two, and then, they will not have enough trucks to cover all the work they have...

But nothing yet.

So my new (to me) road tractor sits useless in the yard, and I sit useless in the house.

Right now, I am watching "Monsters Inc." on our brand new DVD player, (Thank you Donny and Bekah!) and thinking about how the reproductive process is going to work between the eyeball guy and the chick with the snakes on her head. (She has, like, eight legs... there is absolutely NO TELLING what is going on under that skirt...)

My Wife and I got absolutely everything we wanted for Christmas, and then some... Next year, we are seriously going to have to re-define the concept of a Wish-List. (We forgot about the fact that her Father is wildly rich, by our meager standards, and has absolutely nothing besides his children - and children -in- law - on which to spend his money.)

Not that I'm knocking it...

Yes, Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus, and his first name is Dan. (Thanks, Mr. Dan! We love you!)
As to the new car, my Wife had driven her 2001 Nissan Altima into the ground to the point that the down payment on a brand new one was cheaper than fixing and paying off the old one, so she now has a 2007 Nissan Altima, bought the Wednesday before Christmas. It had 7 miles on it when we test-drove it, and 19 miles on it when we signed the paperwork.

She is VERY happy. (And when Mama is happy, EVERYBODY is happy!)

We drove it to Bladenboro, NC, so that we could be at my parent's house for Christmas, and it was a very nice trip.

I miss my parents and my brother and sister, but for now I have to live in Florida, because that is where God has put me.

So, for now, I am a professional dish-washer, and movie watcher at "Chez Xena."

For a couple more days.

Maybe later today, I will write a real post, but for right now, I thought I should try to explain why I have been silent on the Blogosphere for the past few weeks.

I have honestly been too happy to Blog.

I have had almost a whole month at home to take care of my wife, the dog, and the house, we have a brand new car to ride around in, and the future looks very bright regarding my career (momentary setbacks excluded.)

This time next year, I will be filthy stinking rich. (Or flat broke, but better educated. It's in God's hands.)

So, Look for me to start posting regularly once again very soon. (Like later tonight...)

If you are still checking by here every day or two, Thank you. It means a lot to me.

If you stumble across my site, then welcome. Glad to have you!

I have missed all my friends on the Blogosphere, but they haven't changed, and neither have I.

I still believe the things I believe, so, if you disagreed with me before, you will disagree with me still.

And you will still be wrong.

Anyway, I'm back.

Watch this space!

Testing, One, Two...

Sorry about the recent inactivity...

The past couple of weeks, I have been busier than a one-armed Chainsaw Juggler (I'll explain later.)

Keep checking by, and in a day or two, I will once again resume my attempt to explain the world, and point out all the stuff the rest of you may have missed.

Just not quite yet.

Still got other things to focus on.

Bear with me, please.

Sleeping With The Enemy...

In an amazing display of Bi-partisanship and cooperation, Nancy Pelosi has decided to support Rep. John "Jack" Murtha for the position of Majority Leader in the 110th Congress.

In a letter released by Murtha's office, Pelosi told the Pennsylvania congressman that his surprise call for the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq in 2005 "changed the national debate and helped make Iraq the central issue of this historic election."

"Your leadership gave so many Americans, including respected military leaders, the encouragement to voice their own disapproval at a failed policy that weakens our military and makes stability in that region even more difficult to achieve," she wrote.

Refresh my memory...

What was the final vote in the House on Murtha's idea to cut and run in Iraq?

Murtha has been one of the most divisive figures in the History of American Politics. He is the poster boy for "Victory through Retreat" War strategy.

Last year, he asserted that U.S. Marines went crazy and began executing innocent Iraqi Citizens in the village of Haditha, and now, more than a year later, he has yet to apologize for those remarks, even though no charges have ever been filed, and no Marine has been convicted of wrongdoing in the Haditha Incident.

He has done everything he could think of to undermine the War effort, and continues to do so.

He is also the second most famous Un-Indicted Co-Conspirator in History (The MOST famous was Richard Nixon) because of his entanglement in the ABSCAM Corruption and Bribery investigation.

Had he not turned State's Evidence, he would be in Prison.

It's not like Pelosi had no other choice...

Rep. Steny Hoyer is also vying for the position of House Majority Leader, but Pelosi doesn't like him.

Now, Hoyer is a Liberal, so he would not be my personal first choice for Majority Leader.

But as far as I can tell, he is a CLEAN Liberal, and does not openly call for America's defeat in the War in Iraq.

He is far and away more desirable in that position than Murtha. (To everyone but Nancy Pelosi.)

Murtha is not the only crook that Pelosi has openly embraced...

She has rejected Rep. Jane Harman for the position of Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee in favor of Rep. Alcee Hastings, who was Impeached from the Federal Bench for accepting Bribes in 1992. ( A man who has proven himself to be bribable as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee? Does that sound like a good idea to you?)

Aparently, she has chosen to use her Broom to gather the trash from the floor of the House, and put it all into positions of Leadership.

Whatever.

The truth is, I want her to have who she wants, in whatever position of power she wants to place them.

She is not interested in Bi-Partisanship, and neither should the Republicans be.

I don't want my Representatives attempting to work with Pelosi, because I think that she is wrong. Wrong about everything from what the Constitution says, to Military Strategy, to Economics to Human Nature.

And a compromise with Wrong means accepting a degree of Wrong, and agreeing with Wrong.

I want the next two years to show in graphic detail the differences between Conservative Republicans, and Liberal Democrats.

There is no place for Moderates on either side.

Not now.

Believe what you believe, and believe it out loud, and do not apologize, whatever it is that you believe.

Do not back down under any circumstances.

When you get into bed with your enemies, you get screwed, and that's all you get.

Mystery Quote...

I'm going to borrow a trick from D.Daddio Al-Ozarka.

Who said this?

"We are at war with the most dangerous enemy that has ever faced mankind in his long climb from the swamp to the stars, and it has been said if we lose that war, and in so doing lose this way of freedom of ours, history will record with the greatest astonishment that those who had the most to lose did the least to prevent its happening."

Great quote, huh?

New Tone...

The President met with Nancy Pelosi today.

They both pledged to extend the hand of Bi-Partisanship, and to work together to solve the problems that America faces.

Well, I guess it would do her good to try new things.

I don't buy it.

She has already stated that any Democrat who cooperated with Republicans on anything during the 109th Congress will be denied a position of significance in the 110th. (Even if disgraced, impeached bribe-takers get the job instead.)

I think the President is blowing it, big time.

He has an opportunity which has never before presented itself in the History of the World.

As a matter of fact, the outgoing Republican controlled Legislature has a similar opportunity.

Here's what they should do.

First, the Congress and Senate should call an Emergency session and De-Fund the War.

Then they should repeal the Tax Cuts. ALL of them.

After that, they should repeal Medicare Part B, No Child Left Behind, and the Highway Bill.

Then they should adjourn, and the President should, through Recess Appointment, install every single Judicial Nominee he has ever wanted, and then expand the Supreme Court to Twenty Justices, all by Recess Appointment. (There is nothing in the Constitution defining how many Justices can or should be on the Supreme Court, and the President has the power, NAY! The RESPONSIBILITY to nominate Judges and SC Justices.)

THEN, the President should address the Nation, on Christmas Eve on Television from the Oval Office. (I would even set it for 8:00 pm, and stroll in at 8: 05, and force every network to show five minutes of my empty chair.)

And here is how it should go.

(The President walks into the room, crosses between the desk and cameras, nonchalantly tosses a small box and a Manila Folder onto the desk, and sits down.)

"My Fellow Americans:

"When I first took office in January of 2001, I attempted to bring a 'New Tone' to Washington, a new spirit of cooperation and harmony between the two major Political Parties which I had hoped would help our Nation move past the unpleasantness we all endured during the previous Administration.

"It was my desire to advance an agenda which would represent the Voters who sent me here, while also giving a legitimate voice to the Minority Party, so that each and every American would recieve their fair share of Representation in Washington, as is their right as Citizens of this great Nation.

"I have been met with hatred, slander, obstruction, and sabotage at every turn from the Democrat Party.

"They have opposed me, virtually in lock-step, on my Judicial Nominees, my Tax Initiatives to strengthen and grow our Economy, my programs and efforts to uncover the plans of those around the World who have declared War against this Great Nation, and have even accused me and my administration, and even our Troops, of War Crimes for doing the things that we found necessary, if unpleasant, to attempt to keep the Citizens of the United States safe from attack on our own Soil.

"On November 7th, the American People went to the polls, and voted. They chose to turn the gavels of power over to the Democrats who have systematically stood in the way of each and every thing that I, and the Republicans in the House and Senate have attempted to do, In spite of my attempts to reach out to them, and cooperate.

"So, Tonight, I have come before you to announce that that the 'New Tone' is no more. The Voters have spoken, and I have heard you.

"This Election has shown me that the American People do not want the things that I tried to institute, so over the past few days, I and the outgoing Legislature have un-done everything we passed since I took office.

"The other thing that I learned in November is that the American People actually LIKE the tactics of Obstructionism and Divisive Partisanship. After all, the party that has used these tactics for the last six years was rewarded with a Majority in Both Houses of Congress.

"In this box are One Hundred brand new Ink Pens, and they only write one word.

"VETO.

"I solemnly promise to VETO every single piece of Legislation that reaches my desk until the end of my Presidency.

"On the very last day I am in office, I will Veto something, on Television.

"While the American People saw fit to give the Democrat Party, which Vetoed my 'New Tone' of cooperation, the reigns of Power for the next two years, they evidently did NOT see fit to give them Veto Proof Majorities in either House.

"There is one other issue that I must address, and then I will let you go back to watching 'Deal or No Deal', and that is the issue of my Manilla Folder here.

"In this Folder, I have a Blanket Presidential Pardon. It applies to War Crimes committed in Afghanistan and Iraq, and covers each and every person who has been, currently is, or ever will be accused, investigated, or convicted of War Crimes as a result of my use of the U.S. Military during my Presidency, from the lowliest Private on the ground, right on up to myself.

"I will now sign this document, here in plain view of the American People... (signs the Paper, and then holds it up for the cameras...) as is my right and privilege as President of the United States. So, now we will not be bothered by useless investigations, subpoenas, or Impeachment Hearings, and the Incoming Democrat Legislature can get about the business of drafting Legislation for me to Veto.

"To those of you who have supported me, I thank you.

"To the rest of you, who have stood in my way since the beginning of my Presidency, have fun choking down the excrement sandwich you yourselves have taught me so well how to serve up.

"Thank you, and Good Night."

The Real Message...

What a predicament.

Nancy Pelosi went out and bought herself enough "Conservative Democrat" Candidates to ensure herself a position as Speaker of the House, Control of the Senate hinges on less than 6500 votes in Virginia, and today, the President came out and switched Parties.

Donald Rumsfeld will be beheaded at dawn Tommorrow, and John Bolton and Condi Rice will most likely be dealt with next week.

Dick Cheney is safe because he shoots back.

I cannot describe to you the feeling of absolute disgust and betrayal that I felt today as I listened to the President, with his Lame Duck Tail tucked firmly between his legs, begging the Democrats not to impeach him, and promising to do whatever they want for the next two years.

But then again, I can't really blame him. How many of us could have withstood the rehtorical beating the President has taken for the last six years?

The Voters have spoken.

We love Democrats now.

War is too horrible, whether it is declared ON US, or BY US. It costs too much to win, it is too bloody, too unpleasant.

It is too hard to take responsibility for our OWN well being, we need help from Government.

The Economy really is much too strong, and all of this success is bad for Democrats. Success on a National Level does not create enough victims.

We rich people who make at least $25,000.00 per year don't really need to keep more of our own money. The Evil Corporations for which we work do not really need to make a profit, they only exist to provide jobs, and the CEO really does make way too much money.

We Americans really do want to pay for one another's health care, whether there is any money left over in our paychecks for groceries or not.

Illegal Immigrants really should be forgiven, and given all of the Rights afforded bona-fide American Citizens, no matter how many of them there are, or what it does to our Country. After all, Mexican Style Socialism really isn't that bad. The Illegals should be allowed to vote it in here if they want. I mean, they tried so hard and overcame so many obstacles to come here illegally...

And the President MUST be impeached, because since Bill Clinton, ALL Presidents must always be impeached, from now on.

After all, the Liberal Agenda won, didn't it?

No, it didn't.

The Democrats who won Yesterday ran as "Blue Dog" Democrats, or Conservative Democrats, and the whole turn-around was decided by about 50,000 votes total, Nation Wide.
That's hardly a Mandate.

At least not a Mandate for the kind of changes that the Democrats have planned for our Country.

The Republicans lost Yesterday because they got too comfortable with Power. They became more interested in retaining Power than they were in LEADING.

They were more interested in what the New York Times had to say about them than they were in what their constituents expected when we elected them.

They ran on the concept of Limited Government, and then passed the largest Entitlement Program in American History.

And we threw the Bums out.

My biggest regret is that we failed to remove all of the Fecal Matter from the Conservative Punchbowl.

And I am afraid that the wrong message has been transmitted to the remaining floaters. I'm afraid that John McCain will believe that Americans want more Moderate Behavior.

More Centrism.

We DON'T.

This Country leans RIGHT.

The Democrats understand this, they just don't care. They believe that the American Voter does not really know what is best for us, so they pretend to be Conservatives in order to get elected, and then once installed in office, they elect Nancy Pelosi, and her "San Francisco Liberal" Agenda to the position of Leadership.

That is not what most Americans want, no matter what the outcome of Yesterday's Elections.

Denny Hastert needs to go. John McCain needs to go.

We need new blood, new faces, new LEADERS. We need spokesmen who can articulate the Conservative Message in a forceful and understandable way.

We need a new Ronald Reagan, and a new Newt Gingrich.

The real message of Yesterday's Elections is this:

Conservatism WINS, every time it's tried.

No matter who tries it.

Take That, Republicans!

Well, the Democrats took the House of Representatives.

This is what elected Republicans get for forgetting why we sent them to Washington in the first place.

So, now, for the next two years, we only get to discuss whatever legislation is important to Nancy Pelosi.

So get ready.

There will be subpoenas, investigations, hearings and inquiries.

The Minimum Wage will go up, and so will the cost of everything you need to buy.

We will finally be able to get that un-naturally low National Unemployment number back up to where it needs to be.

Take your money out of your 401k Tommorrow, and buy CD's with it. (Certificates of Deposit, not Compact Disks of Carrie Underwood or K-Fed.)

Buy a Handgun (preferably from a street-corner dealer, so that it cannot be traced) , put it in a zip-lock bag and bury it in your yard. Erect a small cross over it with "Rover" painted on it, so that you can find it quickly.

The "Viet-Namization" of Iraq will begin soon, and America will once again show the World that we cannot be trusted to finish what we start, and that we no longer have the collective stomach to win in armed conflict.

There is some good news, though...

If you and your Wife both make $25,000 or more per year, you are now "The Rich". (As defined by the dominant Party in the U.S. House of Representatives.)

You will soon get the privilege of footing the bill for Bill Gates' Health Care.

I want them to run Hog Wild.

Go ahead, Dems. Do ALL of the things that the Daily KOS crowd wants.

I want voting, thinking, informed Americans to go ahead and get a Belly Full of Democrats, once and for all.

You have two years. Make it count.

Let's hope that the President can find his VETO Pen before things get too far out of hand, and that the Republican Party will learn from this situation.

The American People did not allow the Democrats to win the House because they wanted Democrats in charge, they allowed it to happen because it has become too difficult to tell the difference.

So Congratulations, America!

You voted for "Change", well you're going to get it.

Enjoy it. Love it. Learn from it.

This will indeed be a hard lesson.

Bush Didn't Lie, Nobody Died.

At least not as a result of Iraqi WMD anyway.

This was on the front page of the Newspaper Of Wreckage Yesterday.

U.S. Web Archive Is Said to Reveal a Nuclear Primer

Last March, the federal government set up a Web site to make public a vast archive of Iraqi documents captured during the war. The Bush administration did so under pressure from Congressional Republicans who had said they hoped to “leverage the Internet” to find new evidence of the prewar dangers posed by Saddam Hussein.

And it worked.

The story goes on to explain how the website published documents captured in Iraq that could possibly help Nations like Iran in their quest for WMD.

Way down at the bottom of the first page of the article, we find this paragraph:

Among the dozens of documents in English were Iraqi reports written in the 1990s and in 2002 for United Nations inspectors in charge of making sure Iraq had abandoned its unconventional arms programs after the Persian Gulf war. Experts say that at the time, Mr. Hussein’s scientists were on the verge of building an atom bomb, as little as a year away.

"We need to give the Inspectors more time to do their jobs!!" the Libs screamed.

"We shouldn't rush to War!" they howled.

"There were never any WMD!" they chanted.

Yes there were.

And there would have been more, and worse ones had the President listened to the "loyal opposition".

This is only the latest in a long string of revelations that have proven over and over that President Bush has been right all along.

About ALL of it.

From the War on Terror, to the Tax Cuts, to Iraq.

BUSH WAS RIGHT.

And all of his opponents, caught up in the throes of their hatred and animosity, were WRONG.

What would the World look like if we had listened to the Democrats for only one more year?

What will the World look like in a year if we listen to them now?

God help us if we let them take the House or Senate on Tuesday.

What I Meant to Say Was...

John Kerry has issued a formal apology for his statements on Monday, which have largely been interpreted as derogatory toward members of the U.S. Military.

Here it is, straight from his website, JohnKerry.com... (A site that I am sure most of you, as well as most Military people frequent at least once a day...)

"I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I sincerely apologize to any Service Member, family member, or American who was offended."

In other words...

(Paraphrasing...) "I'm sorry that all of you are too stupid to understand what I was trying to say, and I apologize for the fact that you got offended by what you thought I said."

Is that good enough for you?

Is John Kerry forgiven?

Are you ready once again to vote for him for the Presidency of the United States?

I am not actually that upset over this gaffe. You see, I understood what he was trying to say.

I GOT the joke.

Kerry was not talking about the U.S. Military. He was not trying to say that if you are stupid, if you don't do your homework in school, if you don't get a good education, then you might end up being a stupid soldier, stuck against your will in Iraq. That's not what he meant at all...

Let me lay it out for you.

What John Kerry was trying to say on Monday Night was:

"Geroge Bush did not do his homework on the subject of Iraq. George Bush did not study hard, did not learn about the attitudes and customs of the people of Iraq, did not learn all he needed to know about Iraq before he foolishly rushed off to War against Saddam Hussein, and as a result, we are ALL stuck in the quagmire that is Iraq. Don't fall into a similar trap yourself."

The problem that Kerry encountered was that this is too broad a concept to be shortened down to one quick sentence which could hold the attention of a room full of College Students.

It absolutely won't fit onto a Bumper Sticker.

Now, do I believe that Kerry actually meant to call each and every American Serviceman currently stationed in Iraq an uneducated Boob, stuck fighting a useless and unwinnable War against their will, eight days before the Mid-Term Elections?

No. I don't.

But the fact is, he did.

Whether he meant to or not.

His ACTUAL words were:

"You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq."

There is nothing about the President in that statement. That does not read like a botched joke.

And the truth is, if Rush Limbaugh or President Bush had said those exact words, everyone would have said, "Oh, he didn't mean that the way it sounded. He doesn't feel that way about our Soldiers, he was only illustrating absurdity by being absurd."

But this was John Kerry. The man who went to Viet-Nam for about four months, and upon returning, fought tooth and nail for the OTHER SIDE.

The man who voted for the 87 Billion Dollar Military Funding Bill, before he voted against it.

The man who said in a Presidential Debate that he believed that the U.S. should pass a "Global Test" before deciding to defend Herself.

The man responsible for statements like these:

"I am convinced a volunteer army would be an army of the poor and the black and the brown," Kerry wrote. "We must not repeat the travesty of the inequities present during Vietnam. I also fear having a professional army that views the perpetuation of war crimes as simply 'doing its job." (1972)

"And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the--of--the historical customs, religious customs. Whether you like it or not
--Iraqis should be doing that." (2005)

And a host of other statements criminalizing, insulting, and demoralizing our Armed Forces.

So, in my opinion, whether Kerry meant to say what he actually said on Monday Night, he does think that.

Should we forgive him?

Well, he hasn't actually ASKED for forgiveness, has not disavowed all of the other horrible things he has said against the Military since the Viet-Nam War, and didn't actually apologize for what he said on Monday.

So, No. We shouldn't forgive him.

Kerry just wants this to all go away, so that he and the rest of the Democrats can get back to what he, and they, consider to be the most important task at hand, which is bashing Republicans, regaining Democrat Power by hook or by crook, and kicking the snot out of President Bush.

Sorry, Senator Kerry. I do not accept your "apology".

Neither should anyone else. You, Sir, are a self-important, condescending, elitist snob, unfit for higher office because you want to RULE rather than SERVE, and the sooner you are left by the wayside and forgotten, the better off America will be.

Along with your flawed and twisted ideology.

Phoney Baloney, Plastic Banana, Good Time Rock And Roll Birthday Party Gone Awry...The Clinton Legacy Continues...

Did you ever throw yourself a party, and nobody showed up?

Me neither.

If you did, were you asking the guests to pay a Half a Million Dollars each to attend?

From NewsBusters.com...

Media Elites Snub Clinton’s 60th Birthday Party

This one is way too funny. Britain’s the Daily Mail reported on Saturday that the Clintons are having a hard time selling tickets to Bill’s upcoming 60th birthday party, so much so that they have now twice reduced the price. In fact, compared to what they were originally charging, in particular to Hollywood elites, prices have been drastically slashed, and are now being offered to the public (hat tip to Drudge):

When America's liberal elite were offered the chance to pay up to $500,000 each to attend Bill Clinton's 60th birthday extravaganza tonight - with the added promise of a private Rolling Stones concert - a packed house was expected.

Wife Hillary and daughter Chelsea sent out about 10,000 invitations to Hollywood tycoons, movie stars, captains of industry and Wall Street - with all proceeds to go to the former President's charitable foundation.
(The Clinton legal defense fund?)

Sadly for the Clintons, there weren’t a lot of takers:

The minimum price, with inferior concert seats and no brunch, was set at $60,000. But with many rich Democrats sending their regrets, The Mail on Sunday can reveal that last Wednesday the Clintons drastically slashed prices to $12,500 for one reception and the concert, or $5,000 for just the Stones.

It seems the new price didn’t attract many buyers either: “With the looming possibility of Bill and his long-suffering wife and daughter finding themselves amid a sea of empty chairs at the 2,900-seat Manhattan venue, tickets then went on sale to the public for as little as $1,710.“

And the article goes on to say that the Stones may not even show up, and they were going to get PAID to go. (Mick got sick, supposedly.)

(Well, that's not surprising. Mick is, what? 80 years old now?)

Still, I can imagine that there are still a couple of people in the World who would be willing to pay a Half a Million to see the Stones before Keith Richards dies, (if he hasn't yet.)

Apparently Hillary and Chelsea thought that there were 10,000.

Still, you have to feel a little sorry for former Nerd in Chief Bubba...

It's a real bummer when your Birthday Party flops.

Huhm huhm...Huhuhuh...HaHa HaHaHAAHAHAHA!!

MAHAHAAHAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!

HAHAAAAHAHA!!Hahaha!!...Haha!...

Hahahumhn...

Ahumn...humn humn...

Down With Rush Limbaugh!

From CBS News.com...

Michael J. Fox Responds To Limbaugh Accusation
Actor Responds To Claim He Was Off His Meds In Political Ad: 'My Pills Are Working Really Well'...

(CBS/AP) His body visibly wracked by tremors, actor Michael J. Fox appears in a political ad that was the subject of widespread discussion on Monday after conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh claimed Fox was "either off his medication or acting."

"I'm kind of lucky right now. It's ironic, given some of the things that have been said in the last couple days, that my pills are working really well," Fox said.

"I think this is exploitative in a way that's unbecoming of either Claire McCaskill or Michael J. Fox," Limbaugh said on his syndicated show.

(Democrat Congressional Candidate) Tammy Duckworth added of Limbaugh's remarks: "That comment is trying to take away from the real issue at hand."

What issue is that, Candidate Duckworth?

The issue that you and Michael J. Fox and Claire McKaskill are lying?

They are, you know.

They would all have you believe that a cure for Parkinson's disease, and for many other diseases, is right around the corner, and the only thing standing in the way of that cure is those Evil Republicans, who are only interested in making people suffer.

The truth is that Embryonic Stem Cell Research has shown ABSOLUTELY NO promise of curing ANY disease at all, nor has it shown any promise of aleviating anyone's suffering, AND the Bill that they are arguing over doesn't criminalize the research in the first place. (It just doesn't fund the research with Federal Money.)

They are LYING.

And Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and everyone else who might point out the fact that they are lying is supposed to sit down and keep their opinions to themselves, because Michael J. Fox has Parkinson's Disease.

Think about this scenario...

Let's say that some researchers believe that there is a chemical in the brains of Parkinson's Patients which could completely eliminate Miscarriages, but in order to extract this chemical, we have to remove the brains from the people afflicted with Parkinson's.

Not only that, but in order to obtain enough of this chemical to confirm the theories of these researchers, we must create more Parkinson's Patients, simply for the purpose of removing thier brains.

If only it were legal to afflict people with new cases of Parkinson's Disease, and then remove their brains, then Millions of Human Embryos would be saved, and permitted to grow to maturity. The pain and suffering of all the women who now have miscarriages would be eased.

And one of these Embryos which would be miscarried without this research could possibly grow up to become the scientist who discovers a cure for Alzhiemers Disease. (I mean, you wouldn't want to disregard a possible cure for Alzhiemers, just because you would have to destroy a few Parkinson's Patients in order to get it, now, would you?)

How much support do you think the proponents of this research would get?

Do you think that the Democrat Party would sanction this type of research, or use it in their Political Campaign Ads?

What is the real difference between my scenario, and the reality of Embryonic Stem Cell Research?

The fact that Parkinson's Patients can speak out against this type of thing, and Embryos cannot?

Is the only real difference the size of the blob of Human Tissue?

Rush is right.

There are no sacred cows, not even victims of Disease.

Not even Michael J. Fox.

Happy Anniversary!!

Today is my Wife's and My 100th Wedding Anniversary.

(Actually, it's only our third, but it seems like a hundred.)

In three short years, we have clung to each other through a horrible and almost career ending truck wreck, her Mother's heart attack and the eventual passing of her Mother, a 600 mile relocation from North Carolina to Florida, a very painful back injury for me, four Hurricanes, poverty, sickness, a miscarriage, and more poverty.

We have also enjoyed each other's company on various trips to Universal Studios, Disney World, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

We have discussed the nature of God, the State of the Union, the price of Gasoline, the value of a Dollar, the nature of love, the Biblical Roles of men and women, the cuteness of the dog, the weather, humidity, the time of day, plans for the future, baby names, the housing market, our nutty friends and family, computer viruses, television shows, medical problems, the height of the grass in the yard.

We have worked on cars together, washed and dried the dishes, done laundry, repaired the house, ate, slept, and bathed together.

She is everything in this world that is important to me, and I cannot imagine my life without her.

I've got her fooled into thinking that I am wonderful, and that she needs me, and could never do better than me. (Don't ask me how.)

The truth is that I do not deserve her, and I am nothing without her.

She could have done a WHOLE lot better than me, but don't tell her that.

I neded to keep her fooled for at least a hundred more years.

Happy Anniversary, Baby!

I love you VERY much!

Get Out The Vote!

From News Busters...

NY Times on Republican Extinction Week Again

The (Liberal Blog known as the) New York Times is doing its best to convince Republicans that they should stay home on Election Day, because after all, “With four weeks left before Election Day, the poll indicates that the scandal involving Mr. Foley, a former Republican congressman from Florida, is alienating Americans from Congress, and weakening a Republican Party that was already struggling to keep control of the House and Senate.”

The (Liberal Blog known as the) New York Times comes to this conclusion based on the recently released NY Times (Blog) – CBS opinion poll despite the fact that that two-thirds in the poll said the Foley matter will make “no difference” in how they vote (as reported by Brent Baker earlier).

A quick read of the NY Times release of the poll indicates that the poll itself is actually a referendum on Republicans and George Bush rather than an evenly spaced set of questions that are meant to determine how Americans think of the Democrats as well.

For instance, on the questions concerning the Mark Foley scandal not one of them asks what the Democrats knew ahead of time or how Democrats handled the scandal.

Yet questions 53, 54, 55, 88, 56, 57, 58, 59 and 60 are all about the way the House leadership handled the scandal.

The implication in this set of questioning is along the same lines as the week long theme in the MSM that has been intent on making the Republican leadership the focus of the Mark Foley scandal rather than Mr. Foley himself.

In other words, Democrats and the Liberal Blog known as the New York Times hope that a large number of Republicans stay home on Election Day because of the Foley Scandal, among other issues.

They seek to depress Republican turnout at the Polls.

This means that the Democrats and their Blog would rather win by default than to actually have a mandate to Govern, and are willing to disenfranchise Republican Voters through exagerated Scandals and misrepresentation of the Truth in order to regain their power.

Don't fall for it.

Election day is November 7th. (If you are a Republican. Election Day for Democrat Voters is November 8th.)

Do not let the Lies and misrepresentations of the Democrats and thier Blogs in the MSM rob you of your voice.

Do not throw in the towel because of the propaganda of the Liberal Press.

Go out on November 7th and make your opinions known.

(Unless you are a Democrat. If you are, then November 8th is your day.)

Constituent's Letter To Senator Paul Sarbanes (D. Maryland)

I found this at Strange Politics, via Fark.com...

A letter sent to a Senator:
The Honorable Paul S. Sarbanes 309 Hart Senate Office Building Washington DC, 20510

Dear Senator Sarbanes:

As a native Marylander and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance.

I have contacted the Immigration and Naturalization Service in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you.

My reasons for wishing to change my status from U.S. citizen to illegal alien stem from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted.

If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, what I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years.

I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out.

Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year, so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of the last five years taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine.

Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively?

This would yield an excellent return for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005 and I estimated a gross savings approximating $72,000.

After the fine this would yield me a net savings of $70,000.

In addition, I would reap the other benefits of being an illegal alien such as free health care, avoidance of paying Social Security taxes, buying automobile insurance, serving on jury panels, etc.

If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative.

Thank you for your assistance.

Sounds good to me.

I think I'll do it too.

I mean, I wouldn't even lose my right to Vote, as long as I promise to Vote Democrat...

Culture Of Correction...

Think back, waaaay back in your memory banks, and see if you can recall the Mark Foley Scandal.

When the Foley Scandal broke, the same DAY it broke, Mark Foley resigned his Congressional Seat, and disappeared.

When Trent Lott was falsely accused of being a Racist by the Democrats because of a poorly worded compliment that he attempted to pay to Strom Thurman at Thurman's 100th Birthday Celebration, he stepped down as Senate Republican Leader, and apologized immediately.

"Scooter" Libby, upon being indicted for purgery before a Grand Jury, (the same crime that Bill Clinton was convicted of...) resigned his post, and began preparations for his defense, even though the same Grand Jury concluded that no crime was committed in connection with the Valerie Plame-Wilson incident. Libby has yet to be convicted of any crime, and yet he has resigned.

Tom DeLay, amid accusations of impropriety in Campaign Funding, even though what he actually did was not technically illegal when he did it, nonetheless resigned his position as Majority Whip, and his Congressional Seat, and has elected not to run again for his Congressional Seat in November even though his decision has left the people in his district with no Republican Candidate on the Ballot in a district which has historically shown itself to be strongly Republican, and most certainly would have been a Republican win, were there a Republican running.

Now, look at this.

From AP NEWS My Way, via The Drudge Report...

AP Exclusive: Reid Got $1M in Land Sale

WASHINGTON (AP) - Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid collected a $1.1 million windfall on a Las Vegas land sale even though he hadn't personally owned the property for three years, property deeds show.

In the process, Reid did not disclose to Congress an earlier sale in which he transferred his land to a company created by a friend and took a financial stake in that company, according to records and interviews.

The Nevada Democrat's deal was engineered by Jay Brown, a longtime friend and former casino lawyer whose name surfaced in a major political bribery trial this summer and in other prior organized crime investigations.

He's never been charged with wrongdoing - except for a 1981 federal securities complaint that was settled out of court.

Now, look at this...(Click on the link...)

This is a chart, published by the L.A. Times, which shows Harry Reid's involvement in various shady deals over the past few years, which have made virtually his whole family, and everyone he knows, wildly rich. (This chart does not include this latest deal, in which Re9id clearly manipulated Government Regulations and local Politicians and policies in order to increase the value of a property in which HE PERSONALLY had a stake.)

But don't hold your breath waiting for Reid to resign, or apologize.

He is a Democrat.

Only Republicans do that.

Democrats deny, defend, justify, and claim not to remember. And until the hancuffs are on their wrists and they are being led away to jail, the Democrats cling to their power.

Remember this fact whenever you hear any Democrat refer to a "culture of corruption" in connection to the Republicans who now hold the Majority in Washington.

Remember the phrase "Culture Of Correction" ( and credit it to me, Tugboatcapn,) when you hear of North Korea testing a Nuclear Weapon, for which the Nuclear Material required was supplied by the Clinton Administration.

Remember that phrase when you consider the fact that Terrorism, for the entirety of the Clinton Administration, was either ignored, or treated as a "Law Enforcement" issue, and subsequently was allowed to fester until the 9/11 attacks became inevitable.

Remember it when you think about the fact that due to Democrat obstructionism, nothing has yet been done to reform the Social Security system.

Remember it when you realize that Clinton, by his own admission, FAILED in his feeble attempts to kill Osama Bin Laden, and when you then realize that the Bush Administration has accomplished the only thing that would be considered a more horrible fate than death to Bin Laden. He has been rendered irrellevant, without even the benefit of Martyrdom.

Republicans take responsibility for their own mistakes, and attempt to clean up the messes created by Democrats, while Democrats point fingers, deny responsibility, and try to redefine the word "is", all the while holding on to power as tightly as they can, no matter what the decent thing to do may be.

Harry Reid is crooked, and that is not new information.

He should follow the example already set by the few scandal-ridden Republicans, and resign, whether he is guilty of any wrong-doing, or not.

He should take this opportunity to make himself a part of the "Culture Of Correction" that the Republicans have fostered in Washington.

Once again, don't hold your breath.

Sydney's Football Picks

My wife and I have become involved in Football Pools where we both work.

With rare exception, her picks and mine are pretty much the same, so when one of us loses, we both lose.

So last week, I decided to let our dog, Sydney, try his luck at picking NFL Football winners.

The system goes like this.

I take two paper plates. I put equal amounts of Macaroni and cheese on each one, and write a team name on each plate while she entertains Sydney in the back bedroom.

I put the two plates down side by side, and she releases the dog.

Whichever plate he goes to first is his pick.

Last week, he went 1 and 13.

His picks for this week are:

Buffalo over Detroit

Carolina over Baltimore

Tampa Bay over Cincinnati

Houston over Dallas

Atlanta over the NY Giants

Philadelphia over New Orleans

Seattle over St Louis

Tennessee over Washington

Pittsburgh over Kansas City

Miami over the NY Jets

San Diego over San Francisco

Oakland over Denver

And for the Monday Night game, he picked Arizona to beat Chicago.

Take this for what it is worth. He is a dog, after all, and his understanding of Football is questionable at best.

Plop, Plop, Fizz Fizz...

Nuclear test 'Equivalent to 550 tons of TNT'

North Korea’s potential nuclear test was equivalent to 550 tons of TNT, a state-run South Korean geological institute said, which would be far smaller than the nuclear bombs dropped on Japan in the Second World War.

“It amounts to detonating 550 tons of trinitrotoluene, or TNT, at once,” said Park Chang-soo, a spokesman of the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources.

Looks like North Korea's Nuclear weapon test was about as successful as their ICBM test back in July...

From the information that I have been able to find, it seems that North Korea should just about be able to blow up a Dog House, as long as it is within a 400 mile radius of the launch pad.

I'm REALLY SCARED!!

See me shake...

Katie's Slip Is Showing...

From YahooNews.com...

NEW YORK - The fifth week was the toughest for Katie Couric, whose viewership on the "CBS Evening News" has dropped each week since her debut the day after Labor Day.

Her broadcast averaged 7.04 million viewers last week, third to NBC's "Nightly News" (8.56 million) and ABC's "World News" (7.97 million), according to Nielsen Media Research.

CBS points out that the "CBS Evening News" is the only one of the three network newscasts with more viewers last week than the same week a year earlier.

NBC's margin of victory last year was 2.2 million.

The first week, she, and the bigwigs at CBS News thought that just her pretty smile would cause viewers to tune in and stay tuned.

They all soon realized that it would not take very long for people to know what she looked like.

Then she thought that she could attract and hold viewers simply by doing the last segment every night lounging on top of the news desk like some singer in a seedy Piano Bar, but evidently it isn't working.

Starting next week, she is planning to pull her dress up and hold it over her head for thirty seconds somewhere during each News Cast.

I think it will work...

Thank God that Dan Rather never thought of it...

Educational Opportunities...

Hey, guess what?

Mark Foley is Gay!

Really, he said so! Today! I heard him!

So far, we have learned over the past week that Mark Foley sent E-Mails to a 16 year old former Congressional page. Then we learned that he sent Instant Messages, some of which were suggestive in nature.

Then we learned that Republicans resign from their positions when they become entangled in scandals like this one.

Since then, we have learned that Foley is an Alcoholic, that he was abused by a Clergyman when he was a teenager, and now that he is Gay.

And today, I learned that this whole thing is Denny Hastert's fault, and that ALL Republicans should resign because... why?

Because Foley is Gay? Because he likes Teen Boys? Because he knows how to send E-mails and Instant Messages over the internet? Because Republicans in Florida unwittingly elected an Alcoholic Gay Molestation Victim to represent them, and Hastert did nothing about it?

Just what exactly are we supposed to think here, Libs?

Does anyone but me realize that if one of our Supreme Court Justices, nominated by Bill (You better put some ice on that...) Clinton had had her way, the age of sexual consent would have been dropped to TWELVE, and none of Foley's actions would have been illegal?

We have learned a lot.

But what we will learn between now and the Election will be the interesting stuff. Be sure to pay close attention, so you won't miss any of it.

For example:

If we pay attention over the next few days and weeks, we will learn whether the Libs hate Republicans more than they respect the rights of Gays.

We will learn whether or not the ACLU will come to the defense of a Republican Congressman accused of some of the same offenses that they have already defended.

We will learn whether or not the American Public are so gullible and shallow that they will vote away their National Security and growing Economy because they would rather embrace Homophobia, and Tabloid Journalism than make hard choices about real issues which will affect their everyday lives for decades to come.

These are the important lessons of these next few weeks.

Study hard. There will be a test.

A tough one.

Republicans Suck!

From ABC news...

New Foley Instant Messages; Had Internet Sex While Awaiting House Vote
October 03, 2006 1:22 PM

Former Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL) interrupted a vote on the floor of the House in 2003 to engage in Internet sex with a high school student who had served as a congressional page, according to new Internet instant messages provided to ABC News by former pages.

ABC News now has obtained 52 separate instant message exchanges, which former pages say were sent by Foley, using the screen name Maf54, to two different boys under the age of 18.

This message was dated April 2003, at approximately 7 p.m., according to the message time stamp.

If you really are interested in reading the Instant Messages, they are included in the article. Just follow the link.

I personally don't care.

First of all, let me state for the record that I do not in any way approve of Mark Foley's actions in this matter, nor do I have any patience with anyone, on either side of the aisle, who may have known about this situation, and either covered it up in order to avoid political embarrasment for themselves, or their party, or who may have known about it and sat on the information for a strategic release to spoil the upcoming elections.

Foley is at least a Homosexual, and at worst a Pedophile. In both cases, we have heard, ad-nauseum, from the same people who are now condemning Foley, that both Homosexuality and Pedophilia are conditions over which the (victim? perpetrator? sufferer?) person... has no control. Either he is predisposed toward his sexual orientation and can do nothing about his behaviour, or he is sick, and needs help to overcome his problem, and to know which, we would need to know whether he thought of this page as a child, or just a hot young Gay guy.

I don't care about Foley. He resigned. He doesn't matter anymore.

My anger is now turned full force against those who have attempted, and are now attempting to use this load of Hogwash for Political Advantage.

To any Democrat who may happen to read this:

If you were to offer me proof that EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN IN THE HOUSE AND SENATE was a racist Homosexual pedophile pornographer who had slept over at Jack Abramoff's house, and stolen Girl Scout Cookies from blind Cancer patients and that they all eat live, cute little puppies for breakfast every day...

That still is not going to cause me to forget that I believe that Tax Cuts stimulate the Economy, and that the War in Iraq and the War on Terror MUST be won, however long it takes and no matter how difficult it may be.

It will not make me forget that I believe that Big Businesses like Wal Mart have a right to do business in America using whatever business model they find to be profitable, and that the people who work for these businesses have a right not to work there if they find the arrangement to be unprofitable to them, whatever that arrangement may be.

It will not make me believe that a Bloated Government knows better how to spend the money that I earn than I do.

It will not cause me to forget that I believe that "The Rich" should have the exact same rights that "The Poor" have.

It will not make me believe that I should have to pay for YOUR Healthcare.

It would never cause me to vote for any candidate who has the wholesale murder, in utero, of innocent unborn babies as a plank in his or her campaign platform.

It would not make me forget what the Democrats would do to this Country, if given any real power.

It will not make me want to vote for a Democrat.

As a matter of fact, if you were to prove to me that House and Senate Republicans, to a man, are the very scum of the Earth, I would chalk it up to the "Inside The Beltway" culture, and contend that the Democrats are, to a man, just as bad.

They are all politicians, after all, and if you are planning to wait around for one of those without any skeletons in their closet, it's going to be a long wait.
