Boy, I stink.
I forgot to apply any deodorant last night when I took my shower, and then I forgot it again when I got up this morning.
My Wife was off work today, because the Schools were closed in order to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Struggle for the Abolition of Slavery in the 1400's, and she is the Dominatrix of the Television.
Now, my Wife loves Medical shows. Discovery Health, the Medical Channel, etc.
She will scan every channel until she finds a program where someone has something hanging out of their butt, and she will watch THAT.
As a matter of fact, if there was a channel called "The 'Stuff Hanging Out Of People's Butts' Channel", she would watch nothing else.
I hung in there until the program about the baby that was born with it's legs grown together went off, but by then, I had had enough.
I went outside, and worked in the Pole Barn.
I located, cleaned and organized my tools, played with the Lawn Mowers, and raked out all of the leaves, and then, I put everything back where it belongs..
It took all day.
So now, I have worked outside all day long in the sweltering January heat with no deodorant.
My Wife says she wants me to either take a shower before Dinner, or try to find the goat that seems to be hiding somewhere inside the house.
I think I'll take a shower.
And put on deodorant this time.
"24" is coming on soon, and who knows... Maybe Jack Bauer will have something hanging out of his butt...
Then we can both be happy!

Work Sucks, But So Does Retirement...
Still no work for me and my new (to me) truck.
This is starting to suck a little.
Today, I went out looking for a different Company to Lease to, but the three I talked to told me that they barely had enough work for the trucks that they already have.
Come back and see them on Tuesday.
When I decided to do this, I planned for a couple or three weeks of down-time, and I made sure that I had some operating Capital to cover the gap.
But I didn't count six or seven weeks without work.
I've about watched all the Harry Potter movies, History Channel, and Star Trek that I can stand.
I'm ready to go back to work.
I guess we'll see on Tuesday.
One bright spot is that my personal living expenses have dropped to nothing. I can't remember the last time I bought gasoline for my beloved Nissan Sentra, and I am only eating about $2.00 worth of food per day...
My Wife gave me a Twenty Dollar Bill on Monday of last week, and this morning I gave it back to her so that she could get gas for her new car.
I used to spend twenty Dollars per DAY when I was working.
I guess it isn't a catastrophe yet... I am expecting a check from my retirement account any day now, which should buy us another month or so, after which I should be working again and none of this should be a problem.
But I don't mind telling you that tonight, I am a little worried.
I believe without a doubt that God has worked to make it possible for me to own my own truck, and run my own business, because I could not have gotten the loan without his intervention.
But now, after over ten years debt free, I am over Sixty Thousand Dollars in the hole, and there is no work for the truck.
But I trust in God.
And because of that fact, I believe that He has good things in store for me, or else He would not have made it possible for me to undertake this... uhm... undertaking.
So, pray for me.
I guess it could be worse...
My brother's Appendix burst yesterday, so he went to the Hospital thinking he had a Virus, and by the time the sun went down, he had had surgery. He's okay now, (according to my Sister and my Mom,) but I can't even go and pick on him about it, because I don't have the money to go to N.C. right now.
I don't even have Health Insurance Coverage. (Scary!)
I have no doubt that soon I will go back to work, and I will soon be sick to death of working, and I will have to hire someone to help me spend all of the money I will be making.
But it ain't happening yet.
Not that I mean to cry on your shoulder...
None of this is YOUR problem, but this is what is on my mind tonight.
I really believe that it will all be okay, but pray for me anyway.
Or, if you need to hire a Tractor-trailer dump truck, let me know and I will E-mail you my contact information.
God works in mysterious and awesome ways!

It must be... all of it was on the Drudge Report today...
Democrats To Oppose Bush's Iraq Plan...
Whew... Boy, we didn't see that coming, did we?
Here ya'go...
Suzanne Somers Homeless!!
Stop The Presses!! Where the heck is FEMA? Where is the National Guard?? This is all Bush's fault!!
GEORGE BUSH DOES NOT CARE ABOUT BLONDE CHICKS!!
Well, at least she doesn't have a kid in Iraq...
2006 The Hottest Year Ever!!
Since the Paleozoic Era... Since the Dawn of Time... Since Dick Clark was an actual Teenager!! There has NEVER been a hotter year EVER since the origin of the Universe than 2006!!
(That reminds me... We are almost out of toilet paper...)
Okay... How do you like this one?
Zoo puts humans on display...
Well, it's about time! Those are some wierd animals right there!!
Sen. Johnson Upgraded to Fair Condition...
Well, That's certainly good news... I'm glad to know there is at least ONE fair Democrat up there...
NYT: Hillary Clinton plans to announce her '08 decision in the next several weeks...
Okay, NOW I'm on the edge of my seat...
I wonder what she will do?
All you other losers, STEP ASIDE!
(Oh, boy...)

Oooh!! Oooh!!! Mom! Buy me that!! Buy me that!! Please! Please! Pleeeeeeeeeese, Mommy!! I want one, I want one, I WANT ONE!!!
I would seriously hate to be Matt Drudge...
He has to find something, anything to post as breaking news on his website every day, and some days there is nothing.
But he has to post it anyway, and make it all sound important.
All I have to do is comment on it, and it annoys me... And I don't even depend on it for my livelihood.
Not that I wish for mayhem, death and destruction...
All things considered, I guess I would much rather blog about nothing than to blog about the U.S. finally losing the War in Iraq because of the incompetence of the Democrats in Congress, or about the economy crashing because the Federal Government has decided to tax prosperity to the point that it is no longer worth it, or about a Hillary-Care style scheme to break the Federal Budget by making all of us pay for everyone else's Health Care...
But there will be time to blog about all of that stuff later. (When it happens.)
So, I guess a slow News day is a blessing.
Even if it is a little boring...
Oh, well...

Bored Beyond Belief...
I really have tried to stop Blogging completely.
I really have!
But I can't.
Since I last wrote a new post, I have quit my job, bought a brand new car, started my own business, and as far as anyone can tell, retired.
Well, not retired, exactly...
More like, found out why everyone is scared of buying their own truck and becoming an Owner-Operator.
I haven't worked since December 8th.
The company that I have leased to keeps telling me to hang in there, and that things will break loose in a day or two, and then, they will not have enough trucks to cover all the work they have...
But nothing yet.
So my new (to me) road tractor sits useless in the yard, and I sit useless in the house.
Right now, I am watching "Monsters Inc." on our brand new DVD player, (Thank you Donny and Bekah!) and thinking about how the reproductive process is going to work between the eyeball guy and the chick with the snakes on her head. (She has, like, eight legs... there is absolutely NO TELLING what is going on under that skirt...)
My Wife and I got absolutely everything we wanted for Christmas, and then some... Next year, we are seriously going to have to re-define the concept of a Wish-List. (We forgot about the fact that her Father is wildly rich, by our meager standards, and has absolutely nothing besides his children - and children -in- law - on which to spend his money.)
Not that I'm knocking it...
Yes, Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus, and his first name is Dan. (Thanks, Mr. Dan! We love you!)
As to the new car, my Wife had driven her 2001 Nissan Altima into the ground to the point that the down payment on a brand new one was cheaper than fixing and paying off the old one, so she now has a 2007 Nissan Altima, bought the Wednesday before Christmas. It had 7 miles on it when we test-drove it, and 19 miles on it when we signed the paperwork.
She is VERY happy. (And when Mama is happy, EVERYBODY is happy!)
We drove it to Bladenboro, NC, so that we could be at my parent's house for Christmas, and it was a very nice trip.
I miss my parents and my brother and sister, but for now I have to live in Florida, because that is where God has put me.
So, for now, I am a professional dish-washer, and movie watcher at "Chez Xena."
For a couple more days.
Maybe later today, I will write a real post, but for right now, I thought I should try to explain why I have been silent on the Blogosphere for the past few weeks.
I have honestly been too happy to Blog.
I have had almost a whole month at home to take care of my wife, the dog, and the house, we have a brand new car to ride around in, and the future looks very bright regarding my career (momentary setbacks excluded.)
This time next year, I will be filthy stinking rich. (Or flat broke, but better educated. It's in God's hands.)
So, Look for me to start posting regularly once again very soon. (Like later tonight...)
If you are still checking by here every day or two, Thank you. It means a lot to me.
If you stumble across my site, then welcome. Glad to have you!
I have missed all my friends on the Blogosphere, but they haven't changed, and neither have I.
I still believe the things I believe, so, if you disagreed with me before, you will disagree with me still.
And you will still be wrong.
Anyway, I'm back.
Watch this space!
