Claws, Tongues Sharp In Beauty Salon Brawl

Fake nails and women’s shoes were flying as a bloody claw fight erupted at a Dorchester salon after one primping patron allegedly screamed at a woman bantering in Spanish, “Speak English! This is America!”

Just minutes after the melee broke out at Kathy’s Nail Design at 261 Bowdoin St., it escalated to the point of a 911 call.

A cop who arrived to break the fracas up got angry red scratches on his neck and arm for his trouble. They were left by a woman who’d just spent $40 for French manicure nail tips, said the shop’s owner, David Win.

Now, how about that?

This is what happens when our Government and the Media whip the American Public into a lather about an issue, and then does nothing about it.

Or makes matters worse by constructing legislation which amounts to nothing more than a gratuitous power grab on behalf of an already bloated and overgrown Federal Government, or a political show for no other purpose than to be able to claim that they have addressed the issue in an Election Year.

The Immigration issue is a powder keg waiting to explode, and every day, and with every new round of discussion on Capitol Hill, the fuse gets a little shorter.

The President seems to want to grant Amnesty and Citizenship to everyone who can sneak in to our Country, for God only knows what reason.

The Republican Party seems to want cheap Labor for their Big Business cronies, and the Democrat Party wants millions of disadvantaged, overworked, underpaid, oppressed, disgruntled Voters who might buy into the idea that Democrats might look after anyone besides themselves. (I should say, the elected representatives of the Republican and Democrat Parties inside the Beltway.)

Neither Party, nor the President seem to care what the American People want.

The American People want our Borders secured. Whatever it takes, whatever it costs.

The American People want the Laws of our Country enforced.

The American People want Representation by our Elected Leaders.

Sadly, I do not believe that we will get it on this issue.

The pundits say that there is still hope, and that it lies in the House of Representatives, but I believe that they are too worried about covering up what they have hidden in their offices and freezers to do the right thing on the Immigration Issue.

I wish I could be more optimistic, but I can't.

But there is one thing that I know about the American People. We solve our own problems in the end.

When the realization sets in that our government will not solve this problem, the Minutemen will finish their Fence. Employers will stop using Illegal Laborers. Beauty Shop Patrons will demand that the people around them speak English.

If our Elected Representatives fail to deal properly with this problem, America could become a very hostile place for Hispanics, Legal or Illegal.

I hope it does not come to that.

I Know Everything... Almost...

Well, as of about 07:00 this morning, I am officially 40 years old.

I thougt when I was younger that by the time I turned 40, I would be filthy, stinking rich.

Well, I got the filthy, stinking part down pat. Still working on the rich part.

I thought that by now, I would know everything.

Well, I don't. Not yet.

There is one thing that I still do not know. (See if you can guess what it is...)

Here are some things that I DO know.

1. I KNOW WHAT WOMEN WANT.

2. I KNOW EVERY WAY UNDER THE SUN TO WORK YOURSELF DOWN, WITHOUT MAKING ANY MONEY.

3. I KNOW EXACTLY HOW MANY BOOKS A DOUBLE WIDE MOBILE HOME WILL HOLD.

4. I KNOW EXACTLY HOW MANY DAYS I CAN GO WITHOUT SLEEP.

5. I KNOW THAT POLITICIANS, (ALL OF THEM) ARE THE POPULAR KIDS WHO MADE FUN OF YOU IN HIGH SCHOOL. NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TRUST THEM WITH YOUR LIFE, YOUR MONEY, OR YOUR FREEDOM.

THEY THINK YOU ARE STUPID.

6. I KNOW BETTER THAN TO EVEN JOKE ABOUT WANTING A BOX OF CONDOMS FOR MY BIRTHDAY.

7. I KNOW THAT I AM SMARTER THAN MY WIFE IS.
(I married her, and She married me.)

8. I KNOW THAT ONE COMPUTER, ONE GUITAR, AND ONE KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUT IS TOO MANY, AND A THOUSAND WOULD NOT BE ENOUGH.

9. I KNOW THAT IT IS A BAD IDEA TO JOKE WITH THE BORDER GUARDS ON THE USA/CANADA BORDER. (About anything.) (Long story.)

10. I KNOW THAT ALL OF THE PROBLEMS OF SOCIETY ARE CREATED FROM THE TOP DOWN, AND SOLVED FROM THE BOTTOM UP.

Today is my one year Anniversary on the Blogosphere.

I have learned a lot, made a few friends, and ticked a few people off.

I have wasted an enormous amount of time, stayed up too late, and ignored my Wife on occaision because of my Blog.

I have had a little over 10,000 hits since I set up my hit counter, but I had been Blogging for several months by that time, and I only count original hits, so I really have no idea how many times my site has been viewed, or by whom. I normally get between 50 and 60 hits per day, so I guess I'm pretty happy with that.

I still sometimes misspell words or make mistakes with my typing, and I always will. As long as my readers understand what I am trying to say, there is no need to sweat the small stuff. This is a hobby. Nobody pays me to write anything, and it doesn't cost anyone anything to read it. I never promised perfection.

I am truly amazed that anyone is interested in my rantings, but I'm glad that you are. I started Blogging because I needed an outlet for all of the things that rattle around in my head all the time, and so far the Blog has served that purpose quite well. The fact that I also get to interact with other opinionated people is a bonus (in most cases.)

So tonight, I want to thank all of you, my readers. Whoever you are.

Whether we agree or not, at least we are talking, and that's a start.

It's been a fun year.

What can I say or do to encourage you to run for the Presidency of the United States in 2008?

The political landscape at this time is shaping up in such a way that it will leave me unrepresented yet again for at least six, and as long as ten more years.

As you well know, the Bush Administration is not a Conservative Administration. Domestically, President Bush is the most Liberal President America has ever had.

I support the President in the War Efforts, both in Afghanistan and Iraq, and I support the Tax Cuts, and believe that more Tax Cuts are needed.

But Spending under this Administration is out of control, and there seems to be no end in sight.

Any action that the current Congress and Senate may take on the issue of Illegal Immigration will be disasterous at best, because the current Legislators are motivated more by hopes of Re-Election than by any discernable Convictions of Principle.

You are the only person that I am aware of who has voiced any real Conservative ideas.
America NEEDS you.

The Conservative Base is crying out for some Real, Decisive, Conservative Leadership, and you alone fit the bill.

If I need to send Money, then tell me where to send it.

If I need to move to Indiana, then I will do it.

If you need a Campaign Manager or Advisor, I will work for less than $35,000 per year.

Over at D.Daddio's place, He, ELAshley, and Dan Trabue have been beating each other's brains out for the last couple of days over which side has historically had the stinkiest Presidents.

ER has launched yet another attack against God's Church, and the Made-Up Media Boogey Man known as the "Religious Right, in his continuing quest to determine whether or not God still uses Lightning Bolts to smite people.

Mark is attempting to reclaim the English Language for Republicans.

My most recent post deals with the fact that Government regulations have prevented me from buying a vehicle that I do not want, and would not buy, at any price.

Seems a little pointless when I look at it all in the context of the real big picture.

I like all of these guys, and I am tired of arguing all the time.

Let's talk about something pleasant for a change...

I saw one on the highway the day before yesterday, and I made a point to remember the logo off the tailgate, so that I could look it up when I got home.

You show me an American vehicle that comes standard with "Lateral hooks of subjection in the box", "Seats of bucket with adjustable heads and endorsements", or "Flying of three arms"...

Now, don't get me wrong. This would not be my first choice of vehicle, but this thing (from the best translation of MPG to l/km that I could come up with), gets a little over thirty miles per gallon, and costs less than $10,000 American Dollars brand new.

It is big enough to haul my butt, my lunch box, and my cooler from Brooksville to Tampa every day, and when it wore out, I could throw it away and get another one.

Except that the Government of the United States will not let me buy one.

They are not sold in the U.S. because they are not safe (by U.S. Standards, no passenger side Airbag, no Antilock Brakes), and they do not meet U.S. Emissions restrictions.

The reason that they cost so little is because they are built in Brazil (No UAW workers to pay) and they are not required to meet U.S Government Safety and Emissions Standards.

VW has a version of this same vehicle that is even more efficient, and costs even less.

Now, you may never want a vehicle like this. But picture yourself as a young College Student or minimum wage Wal*Mart Door Greeter trying to take responsibility for your own Health Care Insurance, who needs a dependable, fuel efficient vehicle with a very low monthly payment with which you would be able to haul yard sale furniture, books, backpacks, groceries, Beer, Pizzas, and the occasional Girl (or Boy, as the case may be.)

This thing might actually be the ticket. I really believe that there is a market in America for these little trucks. (If we can all get past the fact that they look like the Early-Eighties Dodge Rampage or Subaru Brat...)

But the Government has regulated them out of your reach. Even if they decide to allow a U.S. version, it will cost $8,000 more than the Mexican version, putting it out of the financial reach of the transportation seeking American Poor.

So forget it. You can't have it. Just like the 5 gallon per flush Toilet, Analog Television Broadcasts, and R-12 Freon, it's just too dangerous for the Government to let you have, no matter how useful to you it would be.

At least it is good to know that our Government is looking out for our best interests...

Should They Stay Or Should They Go...

Illegal Immigrants, that is...

The feeling that I get from cruising the Blogosphere, watching TV and listening to the Radio, is that pretty much every American with an opinion thinks that they should go, but that getting rid of them is an impossible proposition.

I mean, after all, we are talking about a whopping 5% of the American Workforce. Five or ten or twelve or twenty or sixty million people, depending on which pundit you choose to believe. What would happen to the price of Tomatoes? Who would serve our food, do our laundry, vacuum our Hotel rooms, hang our Drywall and nail down our Shingles?

We HAVE to have these low-wage workers to offset the fact that we stupidly did away with Slavery in the 1800's, and then to make matters worse, we passed the Civil Rights Act during the 1960's, effectively doing away with the Domestic Underclass, and SOMEONE has to do these crappy jobs...

This is simply another problem America faces which was brought upon us by Republicans.

All that aside...

As one of the few Americans remaining who has not yet sacrificed the capacity for rational thought upon the altar of Political Correctness, I take solving the World's problems as a very serious duty.

So far, no one that I have heard speak about this issue has actually proposed a workable plan to deal with the problem of Illegal Immigration, so allow me to offer mine.

Step 1: ( How to secure the Border.)
BUILD A FENCE. Build it long, build it high, build it NOW. Put razor wire on the top, and machine gun nests every 100 yards, and a gate every 500 miles. Use undocumented workers as a cost saving measure, and make sure that the last brick is put into it from the South Side.

Patrol our side of it twenty four hours a day, seven days a week with enough National Guard Troops to make sure that each squad will be able to see the next at all times.

Make it impossible for anyone to cross our Border unnoticed.

STOP THE FLOW OF UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS ACROSS OUR SOUTHERN BORDER, WHATEVER IT TAKES.

Step 2: ( What to do about the ones who are already here.)

(This is a radical proposal...Stay with me...)

NOTHING.

Leave them alone. There is no need whatsoever to send them home, make new laws preventing them from getting jobs here, or punish them in any way for being here illegally.

Let them live. Let them work. Let them stay.

If they return to Mexico for any reason, make them go through the proper channels to come back. If they want to bring family members to America, make them bring them through the System.

If an Illegal is arrested for any reason, from Murder to unpaid parking tickets, document them at that time. If they apply for Government Assistance of any kind, from Emergency Health Care to Welfare to WIC, make a record of them.

Start tracking down Employees whose Social Security Numbers are bogus, and identify and document them.

If they send a child to Public School, apply for a Driver's License, Marriage License, Business License or Home Ownership Loan, make a record of them.

Within a few years, we will know who is here, and where they are, for the most part.

Their children who are born here will be Citizens, whether the Parents ever become Citizens or not, and within forty or fifty years, the Illegals will die off, and be gone.

If we stem the tide of new Illegals, the System will eventually right itself and absorb the ones who are already here, without manipulation by the Government.

Step 3. (Demand Assimilation)

Declare the National Language of The United States to be English, and from that point forward, do not print any Government Document in any other language.

Segregate Non English speaking school children from the English speaking children, and teach them nothing but English Language Classes until such time as they are able to display proficiency in communicating in English, at which time they can be integrated into the student body at whichever grade level with which they can keep up.

Allow an abbreviated path to Citizenship for Undocumented School Children who perform exceptionally in school, as well as extra incentives for excellence in the form of Government Scholarships to good Colleges for those who go the extra mile, and cut all of this off if the child gets into any kind of trouble. This will reward hard work, and develope a high priority for Academic Excellence and overall good behavior among the undocumented community, and provide the best chance for children who are underpriviledged due to their family's undocumented status to take advantage of the blessings that America offers.

These are the high points of my plan. There are details to be filled in, obviously, and none of my plan (or any other plan) will work without first sealing off the Border. No one will ever be able to forge a plan to deal with an ever increasing flow of Illegals over our Border without sacrificing everything that has made America Great for all these years.

Mr. President, if you need help drawing up a workable, fair, and straightforward plan to solve this problem, give me a call.

Watching The Fourth Amendment Slip Away...

Okay, I don't want to hear any more about how horrible the NSA Telephone Number Database Program is from anyone on the Left until you are ready to join with me in calling for the Dismantling of the IRS, and the repealing of the 16th Amendment to the Constitution.

Every year, every American Citizen fills out and sends in a report to the Government outlining how and where they make their money, how much money they make, and how and where they spend their money. They are required, if called upon to do so, to produce paperwork proving that this report is accurate, and if they cannot do so to the satisfaction of the investigating Government Official, they are required to either pay a punative Fine, serve Prison time, or both.

This does not seem to bother anyone on the Left, even though it is a far more invasive intrusion into our privacy than the NSA Telephone Database Program.

The Income Tax Return is used SPECIFICALLY for the purpose of determining how much of your private property the Government can seize. (Just because it is money does not mean that it is not your property.)

(Besides that, try not paying your Taxes for a few years, and see if the Government does not take away your house.)

The Fourth Amendment reads:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

If the Government can throw you into Jail for Tax Evasion, then you are not secure in your person. If they can take away your house, then you are not secure in that. If they can demand your papers, then you are not secure in those either. If they can take away your money, any of it, then you are not secure in your effects.

They do not issue Warrants on an individual basis to collect your most personal information, nor to confiscate your property, probable cause or not.

The 16th Amendment clearly violates the 4th, on a point by point basis.

It has to go.

So, after we have successfully overturned the Violation of my Privacy Rights which is the Income Tax System, then maybe I will consider joining in with those of you who are offended by the NSA stuff.

Until then, feel free to Joust at whatever Windmill you feel is the most Dangerous.

Just don't expect me to join you, unless you are willing to Joust alongside me.

ABC News, in a desperate attempt to get back onto the right side of this issue, has published this article:

NSA's Phone-Call Program Meets Mixed Reactions


May 12, 2006 — News that the National Security Agency has tracked nearly every phone call made in the United States since Sept. 11, 2001, has sparked more outrage from politicians than from average Americans.

An ABC News/Washington Post poll says that 63 percent think the secret program is justified, while 35 percent call it unjustified.

The article goes on to say that "What the government and phone companies did is probably legal. "

Well... Yeah. It IS legal.

President CLINTON signed into Law the Bill that MADE it legal.

According to the New York Sun " It was President Clinton who signed into law the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act of 1994, after it was passed in both the House and Senate by a voice vote.

That law is an act "to make clear a telecommunications carrier's duty to cooperate in the interception of communications for law enforcement purposes, and for other purposes."

The act made clear that a court order isn't the only lawful way of obtaining call information, saying, "A telecommunications carrier shall ensure that any interception of communications or access to call-identifying information effected within its switching premises can be activated only in accordance with a court order or other lawful authorization."

The law that President Clinton signed into law and that was approved by voice votes in 1994 by a Democrat-majority House and a Democrat-majority Senate not only made clear the phone companies' "duty" to cooperate, it authorized $500 million in taxpayer funds to reimburse the phone companies for equipment "enabling the government, pursuant to a court order or other lawful authorization, to access call-identifying information that is reasonably available to the carrier."

Again, the law, by referring to "other lawful authorization," states clearly that a court order isn't the only form of lawful authorization possible."

So, now, let me get this straight...

If the program that we are supposed to be upset about is Unconstitutional, and violates our Civil Rights, then George W. Bush is not really the Villian here, President Clinton is. (Along with the Democrat controlled House and Democrat controlled Senate that passed it by voice vote, and sent it to Clinton's Desk for signature.)

That should be reason enough to NEVER AGAIN vote for another Democrat if you are REALLY upset about this supposed violation of your Civil Rights. If this is as bad as you say it is, the Democrats can NEVER AGAIN be trusted with power.

They just Can't!

If it is legal, and does not violate Civil Rights, then this program, along with the other Terrorist Surveillance Programs that have not yet been leaked to the New York Times and USA Today so that they can be announced to the Enemies of America and rendered ineffective, have contributed to the fact that America has not been attacked by Terrorists on our Soil since September 11, 2001.

I believe in assigning blame where it is actually warranted, and in giving credit where credit is actually due.

And, remember, Politicians live and breathe Opinion Polls, and on this particular issue, I am in the overwhelming Majority.

So, with that in mind, exactly how upset do you want me to get about this?

What Dreams May Come...

My Wife dreamed that she was mad at me last night.

About Two am, she rolled over and began to try to push me off the bed with both her hands and both feet. I rolled away from her until she could not touch me, and she stopped physically attacking me, but then she began to tell me about it.

She fussed at me in Gibberish. For about fifteen minutes she let me have it, and there was not a single recognizable English word in the whole tyrade. It was all sylables and sounds that did not make any sense.

I didn't know whether to wake her up, defend myself, or just let it run it's course.

I decided to just stay out of her way, and let her go.

It was the wierdest, funniest thing that I have ever seen her do.

When she got up this morning, she didn't remember any of it, but she did apologize for being mean to me before we went to bed. (Which I didn't remember happening, but I'll take it.)

This isn't the first time that she has dreamed that she was mad at me. Every now and then, she wakes up mad at me about things that she dreamed I did. (Which wouldn't be that bad, except that sometimes she stays mad for half a day.)

The funny thing is that we don't really ever fight when we are awake. We talk out any difference of opinion before it even becomes a disagreement. On the rare occasions that we actually DO disagree, I explain my position in a calm and reasonable manner, and she sees that I am right.

We have never had an honest to goodness knock down-drag out, even though we are both passionate people with strong personalities. We just don't fight.

Unless one of us is asleep.

I guess it's kinda cool to know that I am still the man of her dreams, even if she dreams that she is mad at me.

She is the woman of my dreams, even when I am not asleep.

Maybe I need to pay more attention to letting her know that...

Hail To The Chief

I saw the President today. I started to flag him down and talk to him, but I realized that if I did, all I would probably get to say would be "Sir, can you please ask this Secret Service Agent to take that Gun out of my ear?"

I didn't exactly see HIM, I saw his Motorcade, headed North on I-75, just north of Exit 246. Five solid black Chevy Tahoes and Suburbans, with Flags on the front fenders, surrounded by a swarm of Motorcycles, and all vehicles with flashing red and blue lights.

It was an impressive sight. But one thing that impressed me about it was the fact that this Motorcade was just running down the Interstate right along with the rest of the traffic.

Right out there with the rest of us.

Running along at the same speed as the other traffic. There was no backup, no roadblocks, no problems.

Just a bunch of vehicles, riding along with the flow, with the most powerful man in the Free World somewhere inside.

It made me think about the time when President Clinton shut down LAX for four hours so that he could get a haircut.

It made me think of an incident that my Wife remembers a few years back, when the Clintons shut down the Interstate System all over Tampa from 3:00pm until 7:00pm so that they could get to a $2500.00 a plate Fundraising Dinner in Clearwater.

It made me think about all of the assertions made by the Left in this Country about how President Bush is "King George", and how arrogant and snobby they say he is.

He isn't. I saw that today, with my own eyes.

Do you know what else it made me think about?

It made me think about every Lefty that I have ever argued with, and how upon learning that I am not Formally Educated, they immediately begin to assert that there are concepts that I obviously cannot begin to understand.

It made me think about the fact that, while the Left in this Country claims to be the Champions of the "Little Man", that is exactly the way that they see him.

Well, Mr. Liberal Elite, I am not a Bee, and I am not an Ant. Do not refer to me as a "Worker."

I am a Free Thinking, Gainfully Employed, Fiscally Responsible American Citizen.

If you want to find an Elitist, look to your Left.

You won't have to look very far to your Left to find one.

Just look for the people who think that the way to preserve your Religious Freedom is by preventing you from mentioning God at all. Ever.

Look for the people who believe that the way to help you cope with high Gasoline Prices is to tax Oil Companies.

Look for the people who think that the way to help you cope with high Health Care Costs is to Socialize the System, so that on top of the real cost of Healthcare, Government gets to add their take.

A Brief Lesson In Economics. (Try To Keep Up.)

ER, a frequent commentor on my Blog, and someone who should know better, posted this comment on my last thread.

"But since you mention the oil companies ... forget that cockamamie $100 rebate idea. Suspend the federal taxes on gasoline for 30 days, and reconsider the suspension every 30 days through summer. Make it up with increased assessments on the oil companies."

Okay, that sounds good if you believe that Businesses are only in business to rape their customers, and that the Monies collected through Taxes come out of thin air.

The problem with this plan is that in reality, Businesses get their revenues from their Customers, and Government gets Tax Money from EVERYONE.

When you tax a Business, you increase their overall cost of doing business. (Even Big Oil.)

When you increase the overall cost of doing business, you increase the final retail cost of the product produced by that Business. (Even Big Oil.)

The Consumer ultimately bears the burden of that increase.

You CANNOT MAKE a Corporation pay Taxes. AT ALL.

EVER.

NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO.

I don't care how great you think it would be to be able to punish Big Business (Even Big Oil...) for making a profit on their product by imposing punative Taxes, but in the end, the only people you can punish with Taxes, no matter who you impose them on, is WORKING, CONSUMING, TAXPAYING AMERICANS.

Either learn how the world actually works, or STOP VOTING.

You only screw things up worse than they already are when you vote your own Ignorance into Public Policy.

I have about had it with people who have decided to be wrong about everything no matter what the evidence is.

I have lost my patience with intentional Ignorance, and refusal to face facts.

It would be great if we could repeal the laws of Economics, simply because it would make things easier, or more fair.

But we can't.

The World is a hard, cold place. Sometimes we have to pay more for the things we need because of World Events. Sometimes we have to change our lifestyle in ways that we do not like because of circumstances beyond our control.

It sucks, I know.

DEAL WITH IT.

Make the best you can of it.

Figure out a way that you can get around it.

Stop whining for Government to bail you out of it.

Government CAN'T.

Government intervention only complicates and sours everything it touches.

If you do not understand this simple fact, then maybe you are not yet ready for the responsibilities of the Real World.

The Easy Solution To An Unsolvable Problem.

Are you sick of hearing about Illegal Immigration yet?

I am. Have been for a while now.

I agree that this is a problem that has to be solved. I know that there is no easy solution.

No, I take that back. There IS an easy solution. A REAL easy one.

ENFORCE THE LAW, ALREADY.

It's already against the Law to sneak across our Borders. It's already against the Law to hire an Illegal Alien for any job at any wage. It's already against the Law to overstay a Visa.

So why not enforce the Law? What's so hard about that?

This problem does not require new, sweeping Legislation from our already Power-Mad, Public Opinion Obsessed Congress and Senate. It does not require an Executive Order from the President. It does not require a huge new Bureaucracy, or widespread raids to round up and deport each and every Illegal that is already here.

All that this problem requires is for every Citizen to obey the Laws that are already on the books, and stop hiring Illegal Aliens to work for them. All it requires is for all Local Law Enforcement Agencies to turn over any Illegals that they apprehend for other crimes to the Border Patrol or INS, and then for these Agencies to deport them, like they are supposed to do.

Citizens obey the Law, and Border Patrol and INS Agents do your job.

Problem Solved.

For some reason, these simple steps toward a solution to this problem seem to be way too horrible and way too difficult for us to consider as a viable option.

Want another Solution? One that doesn't actually require enforcing and obeying our own Laws?

Here it is.

In order to make any serious attempt to solve any problem, we must first take an honest look at what is causing the problem in the first place. (Without first taking this step, any solution will be a Band-Aid at best, and will make the problem into a full-fledged disaster, at worst.)

And let's be honest about one other thing, while we are at it. When we talk about Illegal Immigration, we are really talking about Illegal Immigration FROM MEXICO. This does not make us Racists, it just makes us REALISTS. Nobody was waving Canadian Flags during the Protest Rallies on Monday.

The Illegal Immigration Problem in America is not caused by a lack of Border Security. It is not caused by lax enforcement of our Laws. It is not caused by a ponderous and tedious application process for American Citizenship.

It is caused by the utter lack of economic opportunity and rampant Governmental Corruption in MEXICO.

So, with that in mind, let me offer my solution to the Illegal Immigration problem.

1. Offer an Amnesty program. (Not Citizenship, Amnesty.) Full Fledged Amnesty for every Illegal Alien who will come out of the woodwork and be identified. Give them Driver's licenses, Legal ability to work in the United States, full Constitutional protection under the Law, as well as all rights afforded Citizens of the United States of America. (Except for the right to vote in ANY American Election, or the right to hold ANY public office. Those particular rights should be, MUST be reserved for Legal, Law Abiding and productive Citizens of the United States.)

2. Offer each and every able bodied Illegal Mexican in America the opportunity to participate in a Military Training Program. Make it a top notch Military Training Program, with a decent rate of pay, full Military Benefits just like the American Army, and offer Family Benefits as well.

3. Equip this Military Force made entirely of Mexican Volunteers with the finest Weapons that our Military has to offer, as well as Technical Support and Supplies.

4. Educate them in Civics, Ethics, Economics, Nation Building Techniques, Constitutional Law, Construction of Infrastructure, and Law Enforcement Tactics. Build their Leadership Skills, and make sure that they understand the value of Honesty, Morality, Integrity, and Freedom.

5. When they are ready, send them back across the Border into Mexico for the purpose of overthrowing the Current Mexican Government, and setting up an honest, trustworthy Mexico that will be willing and able to take it's place in the modern Global Community. Tell Vicente Fox all along that we are conducting this program, even if he threatens to shut off the flow of Mexican Oil. Tell him that we will call the whole thing off if he will clean up his act, and deal with the corruption himself.

Forget for a moment about the Mexicans who have come here illegally, and about the seemingly insurmountable nature of the problem that they create here.

The Mexicans in Mexico deserve better than they have now. Most people around the World would rather be at home than anywhere else.

If there was possibility of prosperity and success in Mexico, the Mexicans in Mexico would stay there, and the ones who are here illegally would go back home. (Except for the ones who would really rather be here and assimilate, and those we could handle through the proper channels.)

The Solution to the Illegal Immigration Problem in America is the same as the Solution to every other problem that the World faces.

Freedom and Personal Responsibility.
